Fire Engulfs Fair deal Hotel in Mombasa, Kenya

Property estimated to be worth millions of shillings belonging to the Fairdeal hotel in Mombasa county was destroyed in a fire that is said to have been sparked by a huge explotion. This all started at 5pm this evening at the company based in Leisure area of Nyali. It deals in  furniture and glassware products. It did not help that this was a rainy evening and access to the area for the firefighters was not as easy. It took the joint effort of the Kenya Navy, the Port Authority and other private fire-fighting companies to try and put out the fire but 3 hours on it was still raging.
