Kenyan soldiers by the coffins of colleagues killed in Somalia
It has been several weeks since the mass media and the social-large media reported aggressively of El Ade camp ambush and ultimate price paid by Kenyan soldiers. The whole LinkedIn Kenya members received this news with deep thoughts on your bravely as you were protecting their country Kenya by paying the ultimate price. As we walk down the memory lane, your efforts in dispelling terror from our neighborhood will be remembered by many generations to come. As LinkedIn Kenya members, your posts on safety and security measures for the masses will be missed. And as your family members come to terms with your demise, the members hope for them that they have courage, resilience and abundance in God and everything will be alright. Their messages of goodwill to the family members sent via your LinkedIn page will be a true testimony of the spirit of togetherness you had with your many followers online. LinkedIn being a professional network, your followers were the larger majority members of your workplace your family knew as your colleagues. And true to its objectives, the members were with your family during the trying moment and will continue to remember you in the greatest words of a great soldier… “You did a great job. We are so proud of you”.

The Kenyan LinkedIn family comprises of very many professionals and with mostly the HR managers doing most of the updates due to the nature of their position as has been the tradition since its inception. But on this particular occasion, even if they did not show it, they came together and statistics showed that even the Kenyan based professionals were not posting as much. This was to reflect on their fallen heroes and take a minute of silence (read silence from typing & posting) in honor of their soldiers. Taking a look at your profile, they reviewed your illustrious careers with the forces and suddenly realized that you have been serving them for the last over 10 or so years diligently at the expense of your family. Even though you took an oath to protect the beautiful country, this beauty will continue to shine to ensure your generations enjoy a safe and secure place to live in and for LinkedIn Kenyan members, a safe and secure place to like, comment and post on. Every time the members will be making a post, commenting, and liking from the Kenyan land, the memory of your heroisms will remain in the realm of their fingers. Your profile view will be a testimony to this and the percentages reported on increase during this period of adoration is an indication of remembering the great soldier who was a member of this community and who defended their country by paying the ultimate price.
THIS IS A TRIBUTE TO ALL THE KENYAN KDF SOLDIERS WHO DIED IN EL-ADE CAMP
