NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 24 – At least 13 people have been killed, 31 others seriously injured in a road accident involving a bus and a truck on Mombasa Road near Quarry area, a few kilometres from Sultan Hamud early Sunday morning. Confirming the incident, Traffic Commandant Samuel Kimaru told Capital FM News among the injured, 10 were in a critical condition.
“Among the 13, three were from the truck and were burnt beyond recognition while the rest were from the bus,” he confirmed.
He said both the bus and the truck drivers died on the spot.
He said those wounded are now receiving treatment at Sultan Hamud Hospital.
